Terra B
Born Sherwin Abraham on June 12, 1974 in Belmont Trinidad, Terra B is destined for stardom. The son of living calypso legend, Lord Brigo, has been singing for as long as he can remember. In 1990 he migrated from Trinidad to Maryland and began attending Northwestern high school where his musical journey all began. He performed a reggae song in the school talent show and had everyone screaming for more. Needless to say this was only the beginning. He pursued and became locally known as a reggae artist. During that time he still felt that something was missing and it wasnt until 1997 when he bumped into Greg smith when he realized what that missing something was. At that time, Greg was the musical director of the local soca band Chaos and invited Terra to join the band as their lead vocalist. Almost immediately they went into the studio and recorded the bands first self entitled album, "Chaos". It took the airwaves by storm and featured a classic father and son remake of Brigos hit song "Voodoo Man". In fact, that same album earned the band a prestigious whammy award nomination for best new soca band/ group. He continued with the band until its dissolution in 2000. This encouraged him to then go solo. In doing so he hooked up with Ace producer Richard Cha sue. The combination produced Terra Bs hit single "ah Comin Home" in 2001. This song blazed the airwaves of every radio station across the US, Caribbean, even as far as Europe as the homesick anthem. That same song earned him the title of New York soca monarch and fourth place Miami calypso monarch. He came back in 2002 with a popular ditty entitled "Dougla ting" featured on the Dougla Riddim. In 2004 he returned to the home front, Trinidad, for the first time since migrating in 1990. He performed alongside his father "BRIGO" in the house of stars calypso tent and took the trip as an opportunity to let everyone know that "He Comin Home". 2005 marked the beginning of the Terra B evolution. He teamed up with Ace producer Wendell "Bassie" Boynes and Klimaxx Management and had four hot singles, his Christmas song, in 2007, "Lynette" featured on the Santa Flora Riddim in tribute to his mother Lynette. And his 1st release for the summer is "SOMEBODY NEW" feat. the sweet voice of "tocos" Look out!
